Grand Ranks for Worcestershire Knights Templar

In June, four Worcestershire Knights Templar, Alan Bolton. Rob Fernyhough, Irving Home and Martin Preece. accompanied by numerous retinue, travelled to Great Queen Street in London to receive Great Priory appointments. In a packed meeting. they were cheered to what, for most, was a first Grand Rank.
The Knight Templar order is open to all Christian Royal Arch Masons and rewards members with camaraderie and spectacle. The sword, worn by each knight, is most important and lends an enormous element of drama to each meeting. Using a sword is enjoyed by all.

Of all the masonic orders, Knights Templar, or KT for short, is the one which most masons say that they would the most reluctant to leave. Once a member, new recruits are encouraged to become a Knight of Malta, which adds yet another layer of enjoyment, with its unique ranks, room layout and ritual. The regalia is often thought of as costly, but Worcestershire Province keeps a large stock of pre-enjoyed regalia, for sale at more reasonable prices.
The only requirement for joining is that of being a Royal Arch Mason and there are Preceptories at all Freemasons’ Halls in Worcestershire. A quick check of the yearbook would indicate which is best for you. Becoming a Knight Templar is a step all enjoy, so why deny yourself the enjoyment?
M. L Preece TD. AE Past Great Aide de Camp
